Maple Manor physicians and therapists provide specialized medical management and rehabilitation care plans based on experience and evidence based rehabilitation protocols. Neuromuscular disorders affect an individual’s mobility, swallowing, speech, balance and coordination, and memory. Based on a comprehensive initial evaluation, the rehabilitation team (physical therapist, occupational therapist and speech pathologist) will develop treatment plans and goals in partnership with the patient. This includes LSVT BIG certified physical and occupational therapists. The LSVT BIG is a standardized protocol with prescribed dosages of therapy guided exercises to improve overall mobility and function.
Neuromuscular disorders include Parkinson’s Disease, Myasthenia Gravis, Myopathy, Multiple Sclerosis, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), and Guillain Barre.
