Cardiac Rehab

Cardiac rehabilitation aims to reverse limitations experienced by patients who have suffered the adverse pathophysiologic and psychological consequences of cardiac events. Individuals who have congestive heart failure, have undergone coronary angioplasty, and survivors of acute myocardial infractions are candidates for cardiac rehabilitation.

At Maple Manor, rehabilitation for patients include full interdisciplinary services in our sub-acute setting with an emphasis in monitoring cardiac functioning. Modifying rehabilitation programs to fit the needs of our patients following a cardiac diagnosis includes increased involvement with our physicians. Patient education focuses on lifestyle changes to improve quality of life and learning how to adapt activities for successful independence in daily life. Learning how to exercise safely will also be highlighted throughout our program. A referral for outpatient cardiac rehabilitation programs will be provided once patients are stable following their acute condition.
