Background:

Dr. Peter was born and raised in Michigan. He attended the University of Detroit Jesuit High school. He then moved to Boston, MA for 10 years. He attended Boston College and received his B.A. in Psychology, as well as a Chemistry minor. He then went to Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA where he earned an M.D. and M.B.A. in Healthcare Management. He served as his medical school class president for four years and delivered the valedictory address at graduation.

Dr. Peter completed did his internship in Internal Medicine at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Boston, MA. He then completed residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN in 2015. Afterwards, he completed a Pain Medicine fellowship at Harvard Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA.

Dr. Peter currently sees patients at Maple Manor Rehab Center in both Wayne and Novi, MI. He is also the Medical Director at Excel Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Outpatient Clinic in West Bloomfield. Dr. Peter specializes in the treatment of musculoskeletal pain, neck and low back pain, sports-related injuries, stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, rheumatologic disorders, and neuromuscular disorders.
