Job Description

Maple Manor Rehab Center of Novi is excited to welcome new, Housekeeping Aides to join us in our healthcare and rehabilitation facility.

Our Housekeeping Aides are responsible for performing the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department as may be directed by the Housekeeping Services Manager, to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner, and that an adequate supply of supplies are on hand at all times to meet the needs of the residents.

Full-time, Part-time or Contingent positions are available
Shifts 8am-4pm;11am-7pm shifts; alternating weekends
***we offer benefits for full-time position***

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned.
  • Coordinate daily laundry/housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routine tasks in resident living areas.
  • Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical.
  • Report all accidents/incidents to your supervisor no matter how minor they may be.
  • Ensure that equipment is cleaned and properly stored at the end of the shift.
  • Ensure that an adequate supply of housekeeping supplies are maintained in closets to meet the daily needs of the residents.
  • Keep work areas free of hazardous conditions. Ensure that work/ assignment areas are clean and that equipment, tools, supplies, etc., are properly stored at all times including breaks and end of the shift.
  • Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year housekeeping experience required
  • Must possess, as a minimum, a High School Diploma or GED
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixture of cleaning compounds, liquids, cleaning instructions, etc.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in an environment while remaining actively engaged with a team.
