Dr. Steven Arbit

Background:

Steven Arbit, M.D. was born and raised in the Detroit area. After graduating medical school from Wayne State University, he completed a three year Internal Medicine Residency at Sinai Hospital in Detroit. He then finished a second three-year residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) also at Sinai. During his final year he was named Chief Resident.

Since finishing his training, he has focused his practice to the outpatient care of the musculoskeletal system including non-operative diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal issues, spine care and Fibromyalgia. He also spends time helping patients return to their prior functional level in subacute rehab centers.

His approachable manner and friendly smile, makes patients feel at ease.

Dr. Arbit is the Chief of PM&R at Huron-Valley Sinai Hospital. He is Assistant Professor in PM&R at Wayne State University School of Medicine as well as Michigan State University School of Osteopathic Medicine. He is active in teaching students and residents from both of those universities. He is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

He has been named by Hour Magazine as a “Top Doc” numerous times, most recently 2016. In 2009, 2011 and 2016, he earned the most votes in the PM&R category.
